The Ontario Poison Centre is dedicated to providing education regarding issues around poisoning. The educational activities in which the Poison Centre is engaged involve both their health care professional colleagues as well as the general public.

Various members of the Poison Centre staff are engaged in providing these educational programmes. These include: the team of medical toxicologists, the Advanced Practice Nurse Educator and the Certified Specialists in Poison Information. Once a request for education is received by the Poison Centre, the most appropriate speaker will be determined. The Poison Centre staff make every attempt to meet all educational requests. All requests are evaluated on an individual basis and are accepted based on staff and resource availability.
