Pods Present Real Problem

In recent years, a variety of 'pod'-type products have come on the market. These detergent packets have been used to deliver dish washing detergent, laundry soap and car wash soap. In 2014, the Ontario Poison Centre received more than 380 calls regarding exposures to laundry pods. Although convenient, these types of products have been associated with vomiting, lethargy, and significant breathing difficulties. Eye injuries are also common.
